Birthplace of North Carolina Methodism...

Welcome!

Welcome to the Web presence of Pilmoor Memorial United Methodist Church.  Founded in 1928 and nestled on the shores of the Currituck Sound, Pilmoor commemorates the site of the first Methodist Sermon preached in the Carolina Colony in 1772.  Please take some time to browse our site and to take advantage of the many available resources here.  Then come by and worship with us on Sunday.  We'd love to see you!

Pilmoor Honored at District Laity Rally

Pilmoor Memorial United Methodist Church was honored at the February 22 Elizabeth City District Laity Rally for faithful support to missions.  In addition to being named one of the 20+ "Rainbow Covenant" Churches, we were honored to be among the top five churches in giving to Advance Special Mission funds.  The Rainbow Covenant is a program of the North Carolina Annual Conference which encourages giving above and beyond the "apportioned" gifts to mission ministries in the church.  Advance Specials are designated gifts to identified mission funds.  These are sub-divided into five areas, World, National, Missionary Salary Support, Annual Conference, and Disaster Relief.
